Hypnosis is an ancient therapeutic method that was applied for healing purposes in many cultures. Nevertheless, it is a modern, well-researched therapeutic method. In hypnosis the client changes his or her state of consciousness under professional guidance. Hypnosis uses the human ability to experience sensory processes more intensively. In fact, the brain is able to perform at its very best in the trance state – thus emotions can be intensified or subdued while perceptions are either more focused or get more expanded. In the trance state, the brain can on the one hand recognise new solutions easily and on the other hand remember forgotten resources.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a resource-based approach. It allows a person to face physical symptoms and psychological problems by using positive experiences and also by applying his or her own coping skills. In the trance state solutions and resources are not only thought about, but also experienced with all senses. Thus, new solution patterns become available and get trained. As a result of this, feelings of competence, appropriate self-confidence and strength are experienced.

The trance state enables:

  • To experience feelings, perceptions and bodily sensations more strongly or to subdue them
  • To experience your behaviour in a different way and to practice this behaviour
  • To revise and release limiting beliefs and blocks
  • To look at stressful experiences (traumas) from the perspective of the ”survival resources”, to appreciate these resources, to re-evaluate the traumas and to finally process them
  • To develop effective alternatives to addictions such as smoking or drug use
  • To activate the body’s self-healing powers
  • To address physical symptoms and psychological problems by using positive experiences and also by applying your own coping skills
